Video Card Fan Replacement?

Can I remove and replace my fan on a video card without damaging the card itself?|||Yes you can. Just make sure that replacement fan matches the old fan. You may be required to remove the heatsink of the video card to access the fan.|||When you take it out make sure to keep yourself grounded. They have replacement and performance upgrades for all types of videocards on newegg and elsewhere. When you install the new part make sure to use thermal paste, or sometimes they come with thermal tape. If you have to buy thermal paste, I recommend Arctic Silver if you are interested in performance. Make sure to keep your fingers away from the processor and contact section lots of oil and grease on your fingers. A dab of alcohol on cloth clean both is also my recommendation.|||Yes, you can depending on what kind of video card you have. Most of those fans are either snap on or screw on. Check out tigerdirect.com or newegg.com for replacement videocard fans. A lot of times the newer fan is better. This also improves videocards with only a heatsink and no fan.|||Yes, just be sure you are replacing with a fan with the same specifications
